WORK INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING: A. Demolition of portions of existing construction as required to install new plumbing fixtures and relocate door. B. Installation of new metal stud/ gypsum wallboard infill, paint, flooring, doors and frames, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems as shown on plans. C. Repair of all surfaces damaged during construction. F. Clean up of work areas. SCHEDULING OF WORK: A. The Notice to Proceed for work on site will be issued for May 23, 2026. B. All work is to be substantially complete on or before July 31, 2026. Location- 1776 Declaration Way, Thompson's Station, TN 37179 Williamson County Schools is accepting sealed bids from qualified contractors for Special Education Restroom Renovations at Independence High School. Bidders must submit their bids in sealed envelopes, with required documentation and forms, to the WCS Central Office by the specified deadline. The pre-bid meeting is not mandatory but highly encouraged for valuable project information. The outside of the bid envelope must display the project name, contractor's name and address, bid opening date and time, Tennessee contractor license details, and subcontractors' corresponding information. The inside must include a Contractor's Qualification Statement (AIA Form A305, 1986 Edition), a completed bid form from J&B Architects, and various compliance certificates and affidavits, along with a 5% bid bond. Bidders must be licensed contractors per Tennessee state law, thoroughly familiar with all licensing provisions, and comply with the Tennessee Code Annotated Title 62, Chapter 6 regarding bid preparation. Only prime bidders who obtain plans from Johnson & Bailey Architects are eligible. The lowest, best, and most responsive bid that meets all specifications and qualifications will be awarded the contract. After the Notice of Award, the successful bidder must provide, within 15 calendar days, a fully executed AIA contract, a Payment, Performance, Labor, and Materials (PPLM) Bond for the project issued by an acceptable bonding company, and proof of insurance naming WCS as an additional insured with a minimum coverage of $2,000,000. WCS reserves the right to waive any informality or reject any or all bids not in its best interest. All bids are subject to funding. Contractors must include all applicable taxes, insurance, and bonds in their bids. Detailed instructions are provided in the bid documents.
