The City of Wheaton is seeking competitive bids from qualified vendors to provide on-call hauling services of dirt and/or spoils. The contractor shall supply all personnel and suitable equipment to pick up dirt and/or spoils from the City of Wheaton Public Works yard at 821 W. Liberty Dr., Wheaton, Illinois, and transport it to Bluff City Materials at 1245 Gifford Road, Elgin, Illinois. Hauling will occur on an as-needed basis, with pick up required within 48 hours of truck orders. Bidders must submit a hard copy bid in a sealed package with the bid name & number, closing date, closing time, and vendor name and address. Vendors claiming any portion of their bid as proprietary or confidential must clearly identify the specific documents. The City will not reimburse any costs incurred for bid preparation. Insurance as outlined in the bid package must be provided, including a current Certificate of Insurance. All invoices must include agreement number, project name, contractor name, and details of services or deliverables with prices in the same format as the offer. The City’s General Contracted Services Agreement will be used for the project and prevailing wage requirements apply.
