Description of Work: The City of Asheville is requesting the submission of qualified contractors to provide and install a Springless Insulated Rolling Steel Door. The City of Asheville requires the assistance of a contractor to provide and install a 14'x14'heavy duty insulated springless 300,000 cycle, high performance series rolling steel door. Scope of Work The contractor will be responsible for measuring the existing door opening, providing all materials and labor to install a heavy duty insulated sprengless, at least 300,000 cycle, high performance series rolling steel door. Remove the existing sectional door, hardware, operator and leave on site Install the new insulated rolling steel door on the exterior of the existing opening The door must have weatherstripping on the bottom bar, exterior curtain-side guide and hood baffle to provide additional protection against air infiltration The new insulated rolling steel shall be installed so it does not impede the width or the height of the existing opening The door controller needs to operate on 208 volts, 3 phase so it can be wired into an existing 30 am, 208 volt, 3 phase disconnect mounted on the exterior of the building A wall button control station must be mounted on the inside of the building. There is an existing 1/2 inch conduit that can be used for the control wiring. If any modification needs to be made to existing conduit, advise Harrah's staff before installing the door. Provide 40 programmable arrangements the installer will rep Warranty for the door shall be for at least 3 years. The installer will be responsible for doing the warranty repairs or making arrangements to have the door repaired during the warranty time frame All permits required for the door project shall be the responsibility of the installer. Pre-Bid Meeting attendance is highly encouraged but not mandatory. The City of Asheville reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
