Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Simsbury, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and road / highway.
Station Street One-Way to Two-Way Conversion includes expansion, regrading and paving of the existing roadway, associated curbing, drainage, new concrete sidewalk with ADA compliant curb ramps, and other appurtenances. Bidders must be appropriately prequalified by the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services. Submitted bids by any entity not so prequalified may be rejected. This contract is subject to state contract compliance requirements, including non-discrimination statutes and set-aside requirements. State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) percent of the state-funded portion of the contract be set aside for award to subcontractors holding current certification as Small Business Enterprises ("SBE") from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services ("DAS"). A minimum of 6.25% of the state-funded portion must go to SBEs that are also Minority Business Enterprises ("MBE"). The Town of Simsbury is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
