Total Estimated Cost: $5,360,000.00 Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to resurface the existing roadway on West 140th Street (CR-232) from Puritas Avenue to Lakewood Heights Boulevard in the City of Cleveland, Ohio. Only ODOT pre-qualified contractors are eligible to submit bids. Each proposal must contain the full name of the submitting party and all persons interested, as well as evidence of experience on projects of similar size and complexity. Bidders must comply with federal and state contracting requirements, including wage rates determined by the Secretary of Labor and equal employment opportunity requirements. Each bidder must include a bid guaranty in accordance with Ohio law. Bidders must register prior to submitting, and proposals must be submitted according to specified instructions. The County and the Ohio Department of Transportation must be named as obligees in the performance and payment bond. Cuyahoga County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or proposals for any reason or for no reason at all. The Owner Intends and Requires That This Project Be Completed No Later Than October 1, 2027 The Bid Guaranty Must Be in the Form of Either a Bid Bond for the Full Amount (100%) of the Bid, or in the Form of a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Irrevocable Letter of Credit, Per Orc Chapter 1305, in the Amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the Total Amount of the Bid. If a Bid Bond is Submitted as the Bid Guaranty, It Must Be That of an Approved Surety Authorized to Transact Business in the State of Ohio and It Shall Automatically Increase to a 100% Performance and Payment Bond. If a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Irrevocable Letter of Credit is Submitted as the Bid Guaranty, It Must Be Drawn on a Solvent Bank and Made Payable Without Condition to the Treasurer of Cuyahoga County. The County Shall Hold the Bid Bond or Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Irrevocable Letter of Credit as a Guaranty That if the Proposal is Accepted, the Bidder Will Enter Into a Contract for Same. In Addition to the County, the Ohio Department of Transportation (Odot) Shall Be Named as an Obligee in the Bidder's Performance and Payment Bond Per Odot's Lpa Template Required Contract Provisions. Cuyahoga County Reserves the Right and Discretion to Reject Any Bid or Proposal for Any Reason, or All Bids or Proposals for No Reason at All, Without Incurring Any Liability.
