Renovation of a swimming pool in Cleveland, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool.

The subcontracting goals for this design-build project are: Design Services: 0% Certified CSB Construction Services: 0% Certified MBE 0% Certified FBE 0% Certified CSB It is the Citys intent to hire an experienced, communicative, responsive, and collaborative Contractor with a creative Architectural and Engineering Team ("Consultant") qualified in Design-Build construction. The Contractor and its Consultant are to provide full design and construction services outlined below. The Sterling Recreation Center has undergone a renovation and addition. Within this project, the pool and its associated systems have undergone limited repairs. The rec center is anticipated to be completed prior to the start of this pool RFP scope. The Recreation Center portion of the building will not be occupied during construction. The scope in the pool mechanical room includes: replacement of the pool circulation pump, boiler, filter media, & select valves & piping surge tank improvements pool fill select piping repairs new chlorine & acid systems the related plumbing & electrical work miscellaneous patching and repair of existing floors, walls, and ceiling as required by the pool scope The City of Cleveland is seeking qualified Design-Build Team Partners to provide professional Architecture, Engineering, and Construction services for improvements to the Sterling Recreation Center Pool. The project's primary aim is to replace select pool equipment, with a fast-tracked design and construction timeline to ensure the pool is open, fully occupiable, and operational by the onset of Summer recess in 2026. The Design-Builder will evaluate the need for potential separate bid packages to best serve the City's economic interests. The City has retained a bridging criteria Architect and Engineering Consultant to advise and consult throughout construction, including tasks such as submittal and RFI review, field verification, meeting attendance, and other customary construction administration activities. There are existing design criteria documents and reports available, as well as approved plans that must serve as a basis for the work. The Design Professional is required to assume ownership of the scope of work and provide sealed and stamped drawings for permit approvals through the Cleveland Department of Building and Housing.
