Sealed bids are requested for the removal, transportation, and disposal of sludge cake produced by the Southerly and Westerly Wastewater Treatment Centers owned and operated by the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District. The contract includes the removal, transportation, and disposal of approximately 2,460 tons of sludge cake (117 truckloads) from Southerly WWTC and 32,040 tons (1,602 truckloads) from Westerly WWTC over the contract term. The contractor is responsible for all permits, fees, tests, inspections, certifications, and applicable requirements for the work. Payment will be at a flat rate per truck load, regardless of weight. The contractor must provide all labor, transportation, fuel, parts, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, incidentals, personal protective equipment, manuals, procedures, and services necessary for safe and injury-free completion of the work, except where specified otherwise (e.g. District-owned trailers). The contract duration is two years or until funds are exhausted. Bidders are encouraged to conduct site inspections at both facilities to observe critical aspects of the work.
