The base bid consists of constructing a new 8-inch water main on Bishop Road. The work includes construction of water main appurtenances, hydrant assemblies, service connections, and connections with other streets within the limits of work. The base bid also includes construction of drainage infrastructure. The additive alternate includes the construction of communication conduit on Bishop Road. The base bid and additive alternate also include horizontal directional drilling work. The time for completion of this contract is 150 calendar days following the Notice to Proceed. The bidding and award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30, Section 39M. Provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30, Section 39M. Each General Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid for a period of sixty (60) days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays after the actual date of the opening of the General Bids.
