Site work and paving for a road / highway in Guilford, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The work involves the Falcon Road Improvement Project for the Town of Guilford. Bidders are required to visit the site and become familiar with the project area before submitting a proposal. Each bidder must submit an original proposal with two copies, one electronic copy, and a bid bond or cashier's check amounting to ten percent of the base bid. The bid price must be honored for ninety business days from the bid opening. The project is funded through the State of Connecticut's Local Transportation Capital Improvement Program grant and is subject to state contract compliance, including nondiscrimination and set-aside requirements for certified Small Business Enterprises and Minority-, Women-, and/or Disabled-owned businesses. Bidders must pay prevailing wage rates as established by the Connecticut Department of Labor. The Town may reject any or all bids or waive defects if deemed in its best interest. Award will be made to the lowest qualified responsible bidder.
