Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field.

Comstock Public Schools is accepting sealed bids for the Hamet Athletic Complex Shed, soliciting equipment as described in the attached specifications. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes, using the Bid Proposal Forms included, with two copies addressed to the Facilities Director. All prices should be F.O.B. Kalamazoo, Michigan, and no taxes should be included. Bidders must include sworn and notarized statements disclosing any familial relationships with district members or whether the bidder is an Iran Linked Business. Late, oral, email, telephonic, or telegraphic proposals will not be accepted. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in whole or in part, to waive any informality or irregularity, or to award the contract for reasons such as establishing uniformity, delivery time, or preference. A pre-bid construction meeting is scheduled and all bidders are encouraged to attend. BID CATEGORY NO. 01 - General Trades Include: 1. Complete all work needed for the 24'x36' Storage Building in its entirety. Including but not limited to earthwork, concrete, metal siding and trims, shingled roof, doors/hardware/frames, overhead doors, electrical work, etc. 2. Engineered/Stamped drawings of building and foundations are by this bid category. Awarded Company will use these drawings for State permitting review/approval. 3. Construction will start onsite after State of Michigan reviews the drawings generated by this bid package. Typical process takes approximately 3 months after submitting to the State of Michigan for review. Awarded Company to handle application process. 4. Construct to following specifications: a. 24' x 36' delegated design post and frame structure for cold storage b. 10' side walls c. Roof pitch - 5/12 d. Metal Siding - color to be from standard color options. e. Trim color - TBD f. No interior finishes or insulation required. (cold storage) g. (1) - 7'x14' manually operated overhead door - (non-insulated) i. Provide any and all hardware. Coordinate with Owner for keying. h. (1) - 36" hollow metal man door i. Provide any and all hardware. Coordinate with Owner for keying. i. Asphalt Shingled roof with 25-to-30-year warranty included. j. Roof vents as required. k. Miscellaneous sheet metal flashing and trim, gutters, downspouts, and caulking with splash pads. l. Provide unit prices for double pane insulated windows with double locks and screen. m. Provide a poured concrete ramp. Electrical n. LED, 5000 Kelvin lights, brand and style TBD. o. LED interior lighting as required per code. p. Electrical outlets as required per code. Note: Power to be pulled from existing electrical panel located TBD. Electrician to pull power out of this existing panel, adding a new subpanel in the new storage barn. Will have to run in conduit out and over to the new building. Concrete q. No floor drains required. r. 10 mil vapor barrier over minimum 8" compacted clean sand fill meeting MDOT class II standards placed on compacted suitable subgrade. s. Provide reinforced concrete slab on grade floor with an elevation of 4" above existing surrounding grade. t. Typical construction and/or control joints for concrete slabs. 5. Applicable fees, permits, inspections, etc. as required for the completion of the work in this bid category. 6. All necessary surveying and staking. 7. Locate any existing underground utilities. Call Miss Dig as necessary. 8. Responsible for keeping public roads clean of construction traffic dirt and debris. 9. Site related demolition, including but not limited to, pavements, site walls, utility structures, saw cutting, tree removal, etc. 10. Soil erosion permit and erosion control. If required. 11. Earthwork as required. 12. Maintain and control grades to facilitate the run-off of site surface water. 13. Supply and maintain barricading as required for the work of this contractor. 14. Excavation, over excavation and controlled fill for building foundations install by this contractor including proper disposal, at an off-site location, of unsuitable soils. 15. Reestablish turf in disturbed areas. 16. Provide and maintain access ramps as required to complete your work. 17. Reinforcing steel as required. 18. Necessary heat and weather protection for the completion of this contractor's work. 19. Furnish and install all metal siding, metal trims, etc. 20. Furnish/Install all treated and untreated wood & metal supports necessary for framing, trusses, bracing, concrete, doors, overhead doors, etc. not shown but incidental to your scope of work. 21. Include all blocking not shown but incidental to your scope of work. 22. Furnish and install doors, frames, and hardware. 23. Wiring of unit components from the disconnect, or other point of termination of electrical power. 24. Complete electrical and related work. 25. Metal support framing specifically required for support of electrical systems. 26. Include full time supervision. 27. Include payment and performance bond cost in base bid and identify bond amount.
