Tenders are being accepted for the loading and placement of approximately 20,000 cubic yards of gravel for the 2026 season, from March (weather permitting) through to August 1, 2026, for maintenance of various roads within the boundaries of the Rural Municipality of Maple Creek No. 111 and requested residential driveways of the municipality. The work may also include any construction projects throughout the year. The Contractor is to furnish all labour, competent supervision, and equipment to perform the specified work. The Tender must include a full list of equipment and insurance coverage for the equipment/machinery. The Contractor is responsible for submitting a method of gravel measurements, such as gravel tickets and maps, truck scaling load outs, or services of a qualified engineer or registered independent surveyor. Gravel piles will be measured before and after the gravel haul by a third party hired by the municipality. The difference in the piles will be compared to the cubic yards billed for gravel loading and hauling. Additional requirements include a letter of good standing from WCB, a minimum of $5 million per incident in liability insurance (with proof included), and the Contractor's safety program (truck speeds, work times, signage, number of employees, etc.) if awarded the tender. The Tender must also include costs for loading and haul rate or combined costs, minimum haul mileage, mobilization charges, loading charge, and any other charges including all taxes, and a total price. Cost for private ratepayer haul charges and haul charges for construction and emergency projects must also be submitted. An expected start and finish date is required, with hauling to be completed by August 1, 2026. A completion bonus will be offered if all 25,000 yards are completed by the deadline.
