Site work and paving for a road / highway in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The City of Gaithersburg is seeking proposals from interested consulting engineering firms who wish to be considered to provide professional engineering and surveying services for improvements within MDOT SHA Right-Of-Way and City of Gaithersburg Right-Of-Way to improve pedestrian safety at/near the following intersections: Great Seneca Highway (MD 119) at Orchard Ridge Drive/Kentlands Boulevard. Great Seneca Highway (MD119) at Quince Orchard Road (MD 124). The City's expected engineering and surveying budget range is $150K - $175K. The City's goal is to have the total construction costs and construction inspection and testing expected to be in the range of $600K-$650K range. The funding for the project is being supported by developer agreement. The consulting firm is to design with budget as a priority. The City does not look to obtain any Right-Of-Way or easements associated with this project unless absolutely necessary, nor perform utility relocation. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
