CONTRACT NO. 2 -WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENTS CONTRACT NO. 3 - WATER METER IMPROVEMENTS The work of Contract No. 2 - Water Main Improvements generally includes the installation of 175 feet of 4-inch/6-inch, 900 feet of 8-inch, and 3250 feet of 10-inch C900 PVC water mains including valves, fittings and tracer wire, road crossings; 50 feet of 8-inch, and 630 feet of 12-inch HDPE directional drilling, restoration, pressure testing and disinfection of water mains; installation of about 100 new water services including: corporation, curb stops, water service, driving water services under roads; control/meter manhole, fencing; water meter pit installation; miscellaneous work and final restoration. There are six additive bids: Mill Street Water Main Improvements, Clarence Church Road Water Main Improvements, County Route 13 West Water Main Improvements, State Route 26 South Water Main Improvements, State Route 26 North Water Main Improvements, and Water Meter Pit Installation. The work of Contract No. 3 - Water Meter Improvements includes removal and disposal of existing water metering equipment; installation of new 5/8-inch x 3/4-inch, 1-inch, 1.5-inch and 2-inch water meters with radio-read devices including setters, valves, expansion tanks, and connections to existing building plumbing; installation of new internal water service piping; furnishing and installing vehicle/drive-by radio-read metering hardware and software; coordination with property owners; record drawings; miscellaneous work; and final restoration. Bids must not include sales taxes on materials, equipment, and supplies incorporated in the project. The Town of Otselic reserves the right to waive informalities or to reject any or all bids.
