The work consists of the supply and delivery of traffic sign material on an "as required" basis. Quantities shown are based on previous usage and anticipated requirements during the term of the contract and should not be construed as firm order quantities; these quantities will be used for bid evaluation and estimating the total contract cost. Traffic sign material must adhere to the Municipal Works Construction Specifications, with specifications available through the City's website. All orders are to be shipped complete unless otherwise requested. Delivery is required within 21 calendar days from receipt of order, and hard copy order confirmations (via email) must be provided within 24 hours of order placement, including the date of order, description, and quantity of items. All orders are F.O.B. to 188 Kipling Street SE, Medicine Hat, AB, freight prepaid and allowed. The term of the contract is one year from execution, with potential extensions for up to four additional one-year periods. Unit rates are to be held firm for the original term, with price re-negotiation upon renewal. Invoicing must include the contract number, purchase order number, description of goods, quantities, unit price, and extended total, and payment terms are net 30 days. No alternatives to the specified material will be accepted in order to ensure consistency with existing material. The City reserves the right to award the contract to one or more bidders at its sole discretion.
