The Urbana and Champaign Sanitary District seeks a Licensed Pest Control Service Company to control rodents, roaches, ants, spiders, centipedes, silverfish, earwigs, beetles, stinging insects, psychodas (trickling filter flies), and other insects/pests in District buildings and grounds. The District has two plants with 33 buildings requiring treatment. The Northeast Plant at 1100 East University Road has 24 buildings (3 require monthly service, 21 require quarterly service). The Southwest Plant at 2404 South Rising Road in Champaign has 9 buildings (1 requires monthly service, 8 require quarterly service). Exterior service is required as needed. Stinging insect and psychoda control is required on exterior grounds from June to October. Services must include labor and materials, utilize an Integrated Pest Management Program, and comply with all federal, state, county, and local codes and regulations. Pest control should prioritize methods least hazardous to human health and the environment, establish monitoring and recordkeeping, and use chemical pesticides only as needed. The contractor is required to respond to extra service requests at no additional cost and emergency requests within 24 hours. All personnel must be licensed, certified, trained, and bonded. Treatment areas include kitchens, dining, pantries, lounges, vending, entryways, crawl spaces, basements, storage, restrooms, offices, and other areas as requested. Bidders must provide references for similar services performed in the last three years. All bid forms must be fully completed and submitted as instructed. Only formal written addenda are binding. The contract term is from May 1, 2026, to April 30, 2028. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informalities or technicalities in bidding. Bidders are strongly encouraged, but not required, to attend a pre-bid conference and site tour before bid submission. Changes in work may be made by written order. Additional services outside the contract will be quoted per application. The successful contractor shall arrange service times with the Facility Contact Person and provide signed service forms after each visit, reporting any conditions affecting pest control success and recommendations for correction.
