Site work and paving for a road / highway in Richland, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
As of March 25, 2026, project was awarded to AJ Construction Inc., awarded amount is $1,626,670.41 The work consists essentially of milling and overlaying the existing two-lane roadway from the intersection of Cleary Road to the intersection of Old Highway 49, covering a total project length of 2.884 miles. The contract also includes repairing base failures, temporary pavement markings, permanent pavement markings, and all other related items of work required to complete the project as shown and specified in the Contract Documents. Bidders are responsible for providing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials required by the specifications and drawings. Bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond for 5% of the total bid price as bid security, and the successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds for 100% of the contract amount. All bids must comply with governing labor and wage provisions, and disadvantaged and women's business enterprises are encouraged to participate and will not be discriminated against in consideration for an award. Contractors must register and obtain bidding documents via the specified website, and submission of bids must comply with the requirements outlined for both paper and electronic submission.
