Renovation of a municipal facility in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
That Ports of Indiana (POI) is seeking construction bids for updates to the interior of the Port Administration and Maintenance offices, as well as replacement and repair of exterior components to the Maintenance warehouse. Bids must include all items as specified by the bid package plans and specifications. A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid is required. POI intends to award the contract to the lowest and best bid. The Project includes the following updates to the Port Administration Building: o Removal of existing and installation of new carpeting throughout, o Painting all interior walls throughout, o Removal of existing and installation of new ceiling tiles in common areas and existing offices (ideally matching existing ceiling tiles in restrooms) o Removal of existing and installation of new LVP in common areas (ideally matching existing LVP in restrooms) o Removal of existing and installation of new kitchen cabinetry and sink, o Replacement of kitchen appliances o Construction of an office to house Operations Administration (using two existing walls and erecting two walls with door) o Installation of new desk and office chair in Operations Administration office. o Infill of existing 3x3 window with frosted pane. o Installation of new Conference Room Furniture. o Installation of new Access Control system, including card reader, door release, and key fobs (added to the existing alarm control panel) It also involves the following updates to the Maintenance Building: o Painting interior office, bathroom, and storage room walls. o Painting the stairs, and stairwell. o Epoxy coating interior office, bathroom, and storage room floors, o Removal of existing and installation of new bathroom fixtures. The project also involves the following updates to the Storage Warehouse, and should be billed as a separate bid item from the above: o Removal of existing inoperable exterior doors and installation of new ones (one 10'x9', one 6'6"x8' roll-up door, one 8'x9' roll-up door, and twenty-six (26) 9'x9' overhead doors) o Removal of approximately 320 linear feet of existing gutters and installation of new gutters o Removal of approximately 12 existing downspouts and installation of new downspouts o Repair and seal of exterior building envelope holes o Repair of ceiling insulation in several areas o Removal of existing metal halide high bay lights and installation of new LED high bay lights The project may also involve the following updates to the Administration Building, depending on the cost of the project in its entirety: o Construction of an additional office (using two existing walls and erecting two walls with door). POI has established a goal of ten percent (10%) participation by Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE) in contracts that it awards. Questions from interested parties concerning this bid shall be submitted at least five business days prior to the bid date and time if an answer is desired prior to the bid date. Submitted questions along with available answers are posted to the Q&A Form in the link sent to all plan holders, which is a material part of the contract. This form will not be updated after 12:00 PM two business days prior to the bid date. There may be questions shown on the Q&A Form without posted answers.
