Sealed bids are invited for the Exterior Painting at Hanford High School Project. The exact scope of work will be provided at the mandatory job walk. Copies of Contract Documents are available with a limit of two sets per general contractor, with additional sets available for purchase. No partial sets or individual sheets will be sold. Time for completion is estimated to be fifty-four calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, with specific start and completion limitations. Bids must be sealed and submitted by the designated date and time. Each bid must be accompanied by a bidder's bond or certified check for at least ten percent of the bid amount. The successful bidder must be licensed in California with a Class B or Class C33 license. A payment bond equal to 100 percent of the contract price is required from the successful bidder, and all bonds must be from an admitted surety company satisfactory to the Owner. Bidders may establish an escrow account or substitute securities for retention monies. Payment of prevailing wages is required. Proof of property damage and personal injury liability insurance, as well as workers' compensation insurance, must be furnished by the successful bidder. Each bid must include a list of subcontractors for portions of work exceeding 1/2 of 1 percent of the total bid. A mandatory pre-bid conference and walk-through will be held at the specified dates and location. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive informality. The Notice of Award will be issued to the lowest responsible bidder within 30 days of bid opening. Bids may not be withdrawn for sixty days after the award. The bid bond will be returned sixty days after the award is made.
