Furnish all labor and materials to repair and sealcoat existing roadways and parking areas at Homer Lake Forest Preserve. The work includes all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the proper execution and completion of the project as specified. The contractor is responsible for all tasks inferable and necessary for the completion of the work, even if not specifically included in the contract documents. Bidders must be experienced and licensed in the type of work included and may be required to provide an outline of their plans for conducting the work. All bids must be submitted on the provided Bid Form, with all relevant blank spaces completed legibly in ink or by typewriter. Bids with omissions, alterations, erasures, or irregularities may be rejected. Conditional or qualified bids will not be accepted. All bid documents must be signed by a person authorized to bind the business entity. The legal name and title of the signing individual must be typed or printed below the signature. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a Contract Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract amount, provide a completed Certificate of Insurance naming the owner as co-insured, accomplish the work according to the contract, and complete the work within the specified contract time. Prevailing wage rates for Champaign County must be paid. Applications for payment must be accompanied by certified payroll forms and lien waivers. All change orders must have the owner's approval prior to commencement. The contractor is liable for work done without owner's consent.
