The works proposed under this contract include demolition of the existing DHSD building including foundations and decking, removal of all debris from site, and backfilling the foundation excavation with approved material. The contractor must coordinate timing of building demolition with the owner and consultant to ensure any items needing removal are addressed prior to demolition. Removal of existing playground fencing is required, with the fencing turned over to The Nunatsiavut Government for reuse. Site grading, civil works, swale, culvert, and other associated works are to be completed as per civil drawings and specifications. The contractor must supply and install a new playground and other associated works according to landscape architecture drawings and specifications, including the shipping of pea gravel to the job site. The placement of owner-supplied Type 1 material located in a quarry, which has been surveyed to contain approximately 115 meters cubed, is included, with the possibility of requiring more material to complete the site grading and playground. Removal of dental equipment from the existing DHSD and installation of dental equipment in the new DHSD building is also required, including removal and install of Midmark M21 Compressor, Amalgam Separator, Ezeekleen 2.5 HD Clean Water System, Dental X-Ray Equipment, and supply and install of a vacuum pump shelf. The Nunatsiavut Government reserves the right to cancel this tender. Tenders will be evaluated on value for money, including evaluation of the Inuit Content Factor pursuant to the Nunatsiavut Procurement Act.
