Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Southampton, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a 0-square-foot, 0-story below grade transportation facility.
The work generally involves the rehabilitation of Runway 09-27 and related works. The work involves topsoil stripping, excavation, supply and placement of granular base, hot mix asphalt, pavement line markings and restoration. The electrical works (to be completed by the Owner nominated lighting specialist) include runway edgelighting replacement, approach lighting towers and foundations replacement, PAPI and windsocks replacement, airfield guidance sign replacement and FEC modifications. Qualified Contractors are invited to submit a tender to undertake this project. In addition to price, tenders will be evaluated on noncost selection criteria including experience, key personnel resources and methodology as outlined in the Information to Tenderers. Plans, specifications and tender forms may be obtained from www.Merx.com. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. Tenders submitted will be opened privately.
