The work includes approximately 795 feet of 8-inch Ductile Iron Water Pipe, 18 feet of 4-inch Ductile Iron Water Pipe, two 4-inch water valves, one 10-inch tapping sleeve with an 8-inch valve, 406 feet of 1-inch cross-linked polyethylene water service line, installation of 20 domestic water meters and boxes, connections to existing 10-inch and 4-inch cast iron water pipes, installation of 460 square yards of ACP trench resurfacing, 180 square yards of concrete walks and driveways, and other associated work including, but not limited to, temporary work zone traffic control and erosion control. The general specifications applicable are the 2021 Oregon Standard Specifications for Construction, supplemented by City Supplemental Standard Specifications and project Special Provisions. Bidders must submit proposals on the prescribed forms with a certified or cashier's check or bid bond equal to ten percent of the total proposal amount. The bid bond must be issued by a surety authorized to issue bonds in the State of Oregon. Bidders are required to disclose proposed first-tier subcontractors. The Contractor or subcontractor must be registered with the Construction Contractors Board as required by law. The City reserves the right to award the contract to the most qualified proposal, to postpone acceptance and award for up to 30 days, or to reject any and all proposals received. Principal features of work include mobilization, trench resurfacing, curb and gutter, driveways, walks, ductile iron pipe, gate valves, tapping sleeve, water service connections, water meter assemblies, and related appurtenant work. Quantities are approximate and not all-inclusive; additional items may be required as shown in project plans and specifications. The Contractor’s liability insurance must hold the City harmless, and all work shall conform to applicable wage rates and bonding requirements.
