Site work for a water / sewer project in Lakewood, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project consists of the furnishing and installation of a new Hydrous Manganese Oxide (HMO) chemical feed system at the existing Shorrock Street Water Treatment Plant. The work includes demolition and preparation, installation of a new containment curb, FRP grating system, chemical tote load cell devices, HDPE batch tanks, chemical transfer and metering pumps, associated suction and discharge piping, valving and appurtenances, emergency safety shower, instrumentation and control equipment, electrical, HVAC, fire protection system, and plumbing modifications as required for a complete chemical feed system. The project also includes demolition and modifications to the existing packed column aeration systems at both the Shorrock Street and New Hampshire Avenue Water Treatment Plants, including selective demolition of aerator units, piping, blowers, and ductwork, and installation of new ductile iron piping, valving, and heat trace to maintain facility flow. All work must be completed within two hundred fifty (250) calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Bidder instructions include: Submission of one original and two copies of the bid proposal, with a USB flash drive containing a digital PDF copy of the prepared bid form and supporting documents, all enclosed in a sealed envelope marked with the bidder's name, address, contract number, and title. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid, between $500.00 and $20,000.00, as a guarantee of contract execution and performance bond furnishing. Certificates of Experience, Equipment, and Consent of Surety are required. Bidders must comply with relevant federal and state regulations, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, Affirmative Action, New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Business Registration, Worker Health and Safety Act, and OSHA. The Authority reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities, award based on available funds, and reject any or all bids as deemed in its best interest. No bids may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after opening. The successful bidder must furnish a surety company bond for the full contract price.
