Site work for a water / sewer project in Santa Maria, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

**As of March 12th, 2026 this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.* In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, removal and replacement of the existing perimeter fencing and gates enclosing the Wastewater Treatment Plant Facility located at 601 Black Road. Scope of work shall consist of but not be limited to the following: grub and clear within the existing fence area, removal of approximately 12,100 linear feet of fencing, construction of 12,550 linear feet of 6' high chain link fencing, construction of 1,680 of 8' high chain link fencing, 810 linear feet of reconstructed fencing, construction of three 16' wide & 6' tall chain link gates, construction of three 20' wide & 6' tall chain link gates, construction of two 20' wide & 8' tall chain link gates, and construction of five 4' wide & 8' tall chain link gates. This work is more specifically delineated by the Plans and Specifications described under Special Provisions, and is in the City of Santa Maria, County of Santa Barbara, State of California. At the time of the bid opening, the successful Bidder must be legally entitled to perform contracts requiring a California "A" or "C-13" License. Any Bidder or contractor not so licensed shall be subject to all penalties imposed by law including, but not limited to, any appropriate disciplinary action by the Contractors' State License Board. All contractor and sub-contractor license(s) must remain in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. The Contractor shall notify the City in writing in the event its license is suspended, expires, or has a change in signatory. A Guarantee and Defective Material Bond in an amount equal to ten (10) percent of the contract price executed in the form of Document 00680 Should a Bidder be in doubt as to the true meaning of any item in the Plans or Specifications or discover items containing discrepancies or omissions, the Bidder is responsible for immediately notifying the Engineer. All questions must be submitted in writing through the PlanetBids Procurement Question/Answer Tab via the City's e-Procurement portal, on or before the Question & Answer Submission Date and Time (indicated in PlanetBids). Please include the section title of this Specification for each question, if applicable, in order to ensure that questions asked are responded to correctly. All questions submitted and answers provided shall be electronically distributed to all bidders who have selected to "follow" this Specification on the City's e-Procurement Portal. Any addenda shall be posted on the City's e-Procurement Portal. Addenda notifications will be emailed to all persons who have selected to "follow" this Specification. Failure of any Bidder to receive any such addenda or interpretation shall not relieve such Bidder from any obligation under their bid as submitted. All addenda so issued shall become part of the contract documents. Such addenda are to be considered as part of the contract documents, and the Bidder shall acknowledge this condition in the e-Procurement Portal. The Engineer shall not be held responsible for any oral interpretations or instructions. No addenda can be issued less than seventy-two (72) hours before bid opening without an accompanying bid time extension. The Engineer reserves the right to make decisions on extending the bid period.
