The project includes selective replacement of doors and aluminum storefront systems, installation of a new smartphone-connected intercom system, and various security upgrades at Manning Apartments, 237 Franklin Street, Cambridge, Massachusetts. The work involves modifying the main entry configuration to separate building entry and egress, installing new doors with card readers, and retrofitting existing doors for controlled access to common areas. The contractor must provide all related trims, sealants, and accessories, as well as temporary weather and security protection to maintain building integrity during construction. All bids are subject to minimum wage rates. General bids must be accompanied by a bid deposit not less than five percent of the greatest possible bid amount, made payable to Manning LLC. A 100% payment bond and a 100% performance bond will be required for the awarded contract. Bids must be electronically submitted at WWW.PROCORE.COM. Every request for interpretation of the plans, specifications, or other pre-bid documents must be in writing and submitted via email. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities if in the public interest. Bids shall remain in effect for 60 days after opening, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays. Successful bidders shall agree to commence work and complete the work in accordance with the dates set forth in the bidding and contract documents.
