Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Berkeley, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

FY 2026 Curb Ramp & Sidewalk Repair. The work of this contract is divided into two bid packages, "Package A" and "Package B", briefly summarized as follows: Curb Ramp Replacement - "Package A" The work done under this component includes but is not limited to: traffic control; protection of underground utilities; implementation of storm water pollution controls; adjustments of survey monument and utility covers; root pruning; tree protection; tree removals; stump grinding; removal and replacement of asphalt pavement, sidewalk, valley gutter, and curb & gutter; topsoil placement; curb ramp replacement; storm drain infrastructure removal and replacement; conform paving; curb painting. Sidewalk Repairs - "Package B" The work done under this component includes but is not limited to: traffic control; protection of underground utilities; implementation of storm water pollution controls; adjustments of survey monument and utility covers; root pruning; tree protection; tree removals; stump grinding; removal and replacement of asphalt pavement, sidewalk, driveway, valley gutter, and curb & gutter; topsoil placement; curb ramp replacement; storm drain infrastructure removal and replacement; curb painting; water supply pipe repair; conform paving. Location: The work is located at various locations in Berkeley, CA. California Contractor License Classification required: A General Engineering, or C-8 Concrete Contractor General information or plan holder's list: (510) 981-6400. Questions concerning the anticipated work or scope of the Project should be directed to Stephanie Angcla, Assistant Public Works Engineer, by email at SAnglca@berkeleyca.gov, no later than 10:00 A.M., January 29, 2026. In accordance with California State Labor Code, the wage scale is on file with the Engineering Office or is attached herewith. Each proposal must be accompanied by an unconditionally certified or cashier's check or bid bond made payable to the City of Berkeley, and such check or bond shall be in an amount equal to at least 10% of the amount of the bid. Faithful Performance Bond in an amount not less than 100% of the amount of the contract, executed on the City of Berkeley Standard Performance Bond agreement form. Labor and Material Bond are in the sum of not less than 100% of the contract amount. Award will be made by the City Council at a meeting within 75 days subsequent to the date set for bid opening. The Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any combination of bids.
