Remodeling of a mixed-use development in Berkeley, California. Completed plans call for the remodel of a three-story above grade, one-story below grade hospitality development.
The Women's Faculty Club is a three-story with basement, wood-frame building listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Women's Faculty Club experienced a flood and is in need of repairing interior finishes in guest rooms, corridor, kitchen, and service space. The repair of interior finishes shall be considered replacement-in-kind, matching the previous interior finishes. Bidders must submit a Contractor’s Special Statement of Experience on company letterhead with documentation of at least three (3) and no more than five (5) comparable projects with a construction value at award of $150,000 or greater, completed in the past five years in the nine Bay Area counties. Do not include projects currently under construction. For each project, provide project name, address, owner’s name, contract value at award, total Change Order value, completion date, Owner’s Representative email address and phone number, and description of comparability. List all projects on all UC Campuses and National Labs (LBNL, LLNL) completed or currently working within the last 5 years, if any. Bidders are required to register via the provided BuildingConnected link and request access to the project by emailing UC Berkeley Contract Administration. Only bidders who participate in the mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and Site Tour in its entirety will be allowed to bid on the Project as prime contractors. The successful bidder must have a current and active “B” General Contractor license. Compliance with equal employment opportunity policy, non-discrimination requirements, prevailing wage, and California Labor Code requirements is mandatory. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. The successful bidder must pay no less than the UC Fair Wage ($15 per hour) and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local working condition requirements. Estimated construction cost: $150,000.00.
