The project consists of mechanical repairs and protective coatings of a 500,000-gallon elevated water storage tank. All bids must be in accordance with the Contract Documents on file at the Ascension Parish Purchasing Department. Copies of specifications, bid documents, contract documents, and construction drawings for use in preparing bids may be obtained from the department. Documents can be mailed to bidders with a provided shipping account number; no refunds will be made for returned drawings. Site visits are non-mandatory and can be scheduled with the project manager upon request. Bids must be submitted on forms furnished by the awarding authority. No contract documents shall be issued to anyone except a licensed contractor or their authorized representatives, and no bidding documents will be issued later than seventy-two (72) hours prior to the bid opening. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing the name of the bidder, the bidder's address, contractor's state license number, and the name of the project. If mailed, the sealed bid envelope must be enclosed in another envelope addressed to the Ascension Parish Purchasing Department, sent by certified mail, and received no later than the bid opening. Questions regarding the project and bid package must be submitted to the Purchasing Department via the provided email by the specified deadline. Responses will be coordinated with the project manager and posted on the provided website. Electronic bids and electronic bid bonds may also be submitted through the specified website prior to the electronic bidding deadline. Beginning at the specified bid opening time, all bids will be downloaded. No bids are accepted after the deadline. All questions regarding this project and the bid package shall be submitted to the Purchasing Department viapurchasing@apgov.usby 4:00 PM on January 27,2026.
