The City of Miami Beach Facilities and Fleet Management Department requests your quote for the roof replacement of the Fire Station #4 pursuant to and in accordance with the specifications contained herein Project Location: 6880 Indian Creek Dr, Miami Beach, FL 33141. Estimated Budget: $265,000.00 Licensing Requirements. Bidder shall be State of Florida Certified Roof Contractor in the State of Florida, Department of Business and Professional Regulations to be considered for award. The City of Miami Beach Facilities and Fleet Management Department requests your quote for the roof replacement of the Fire Station #4 pursuant to and in accordance with the specifications contained herein. City departments may, but are not required to, utilize the results of this ITQ to acquire the referenced service. Award of ITQ does not grant the successful contractor(s) exclusive rights or any guarantee of work to provide the services. Pricing to include all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and mobilization. Any change order must be approved by the Project Manager prior to,beginning work. Vendor will be responsible for all permits, as required. Contractor shall maintain the site free of debris and trash to be picked up daily. Department reserves the right to request a Schedule of Values for all bids received. The City may reject any or all quotations, or any portion of the quotation, as it deems in the best interest of the City. Contractor is to provide pricing for work to be performed during business hours. Permits, crane (if needed), and sales tax to be included. Qualified and certified contractor for the installation, repair, and replacement of roof systems in accordance with the Florida Building Code. Contractor to provide a detailed Project Schedule with milestone dates within four (4) working days of PO issuance. Scope of Work The project involves replacing the roof of the Fire Station #4, which has a standard roofing system. o Contractor shall visit the site to verify the estimated quantities and overall conditions of the existing site. o Contractor to prep all surfaces, including grinding off all existing coatings and thoroughly pressure-cleaning the entire roof. o Contractor is responsible for a building department permit and submitting roofing shop drawings in coordination with the as-built for approval. o Manufacturers 20-year NDL warranty cost to be included in project bid. o Contractor to provide minimum 1-year warranty for materials and workmanship. o Removal of existing Sky Light PREPARATION o Cut and remove all existing roofing down to the deck. Remove only as much roofing in one working day period that can be replaced. Water cut off to be installed at the end of each working day to ensure a watertight condition. o It is the contractor's responsibility to determine existing deck on roof. o Broom clean the entire roof. Remove all dust and dirt, and thoroughly clean with a power air blower. INSULATION o Furnish and install PolyIso Roof Insulation to match existing thickness/R-value of 20. Contractors responsibility to determine existing insulation on roof. o Furnish and install Securock Gypsum-Fiber Roof Board over PolyIso. BASE SHEET o Furnish and install one (1) ply of RUBEROID HW 25 Smooth Base torch applied with 100% adhesion. The above work will be performed by trained men proficient in this type of work. CAP SHEET o Furnish and install one (1) ply of RUBEROID HW Plus Granule FR torch applied with 100% adhesion. The above work will be performed by trained men proficient in this type of work. o White ceramic granules will be hand-broadcasted on all asphalt bleed outs. This will aid in the prevention of cracking and alligatoring of the asphalt and result in an aesthetically clean application. VERTICAL PARAPET WALL ROOFING o Furnish and install one (1) ply of RUBEROID HW 25 Smooth Base and one (1) ply of RUBEROID HW Plus Granule FR torch applied with 100% adhesion to all parapet walls and curbs and properly terminate per manufacturer specifications. MISCELLANEOUS INSTALLATIONS o Fire rated perlite can't strip to be installed at all 90-degree angles before flashing.
