Reference Number 0000433332 The project is comprised of two entrance signs located at two (2) separate sites in the North Beach area: 2057 71st Street Harding Avenue and 87th Street (Adjacent to 8635 Harding Avenue) The first sign is to be located at 2057 71st Street. The site is within the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) right-of-way (ROW) at the western entrance of Normandy Isle, at the intersection of the John F. Kennedy Causeway, Bay Drive and Normandy Drive (71 Street). The new sign on 71st Street will replace an existing entrance sign and includes large channel letters, 4'-10" in height, that spell out "MIAMI BEACH" at the base of an architectural canopy. The canopy is supported by rectilinear piers and features perforations that allow palm trees to weave through the structure. The second sign, to be located at Harding Avenue and 87th Street, the vacant lot adjacent to 8635 Harding Avenue (Harding Avenue & 87th St), has similar characteristics as the 1st sign. The entrance sign also includes large channel letters ("Miami Beach") at the base of a smaller canopy that is supported by rectilinear piers and features perforations that allow for palm trees to weave through the canopy.
