The project includes furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and other incidental and appurtenant work necessary to satisfactorily complete the work, as described in the contract documents. Work will be performed in strict conformance with the contract documents, permits from regulatory agencies, and applicable regulations. The work consists of flooring replacement at Windermere and Gardenhill Park and interior painting at Gardenhill Park in the City of La Mirada. Bids must be submitted on the provided forms without unauthorized changes. Bidders must register with the plan holder, comply with Department of Industrial Relations registrations, and pay prevailing wages. Each bid must be accompanied by a 10% bid security. Required licenses include valid Class C-15 Flooring and Floor Covering and C-33 Painting Contractor's licenses. Five percent of any progress payment will be withheld as retention. Contractors may request substitution of securities for retention. Requests for substitution of trade names or equivalents must be made in writing at least ten calendar days before the bid deadline and include sufficient supporting data. Liquidated damages for delayed completion are specified. Upon contract award, performance and payment bonds equal to the contract price are required.
