Sealed bids will be received for the installation of new inlets, manholes, and approximately 3,400 linear feet of storm sewer varying in size from 15" to 24"; removal of catch basins; abandoning catch basin storm sewer pipe in place with CIPP sectional repair and flowable fill; sidewalk and curb replacement; roadway pavement restoration; seeding and topsoil restoration; and other related and incidental work. Bids must be submitted on forms furnished in the Bid Submittal Document, as one original and one copy. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond made payable to West View Water Authority, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, for ten percent of the full amount of the bid, or a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit in an amount not less than ten percent of the total bid amount. Compliance is required with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry Prevailing Wage Rates. Participation by minority-, women-, and service-disabled veteran-owned business enterprises is encouraged. The Non-Collusion Affidavit of Prime Bidders must be completed and submitted with all bids. All bids must be identified by marking the sealed envelope accordingly. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any, or all, bids and to waive any informalities within the bids received. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents.
