The City is seeking to prequalify trade contractors for a multi-prime contract approach for construction of the memorial. The City of Beverly Hills City Council has been steadfast in its support of Isreal and creation of a permanent memorial dedicated to the hundreds of victims from numerous countries who perished on the October 7 th ,2023. A memorial site has been dedicated to this project on the north-east corner of Burton Way and Rexford Drive. The proposed development includes the main memorial plaza and the monument (1,500 SF) as well as site development of 9,200F surrounding the plaza. The memorial plaza includes the October 7th memorial monument in a water fountain basin with scriptures, a wall commemorating the victims with carved names. The surrounding site development area includes a series of curvilinear site walls creating significant areas for donor walls and integrated benches, landscape and hardscape area, and site lighting. The designer team for this project is Broskin, LLC, and Exhibit "A" of this RFQ includes a plan, section, and renderings for the Memorial. Specified contractor's licensing is A, B and/or C-29 specific trade license(s) under the California Contractors State License Board. This RFQ is identified for Architectural Pre-Cast Concrete, the following is a list of other prime contractors identified for this project; 001 - Demolition and Grading 002 - Site Architectural Concrete 003 - Architectural Pre-Cast Concrete 004 - Ornamental Metal 005 - Plumbing (including site drainage and fountain equipment) 006 - Electrical 007 - Landscaping & Irrigation day to submit RFIs has been extended to February 4 at 5:00pm. Answers to questions contained in the questionnaire are required. The questionnaire is posted on online. Specified contractor's licensing is A, B and/or C specific trade license(s) under the California Contractors State License Board. Failure to possess such license may render the bid non responsive and bar the award of the contract to that non responsive Bidder. A 10% bidder's security or bid bond will be required to bid, and the selected lowest responsible bidder will be required to provide 100% performance & payment bonds The CITY reserves the right to adjust, increase, limit, suspend or rescind the prequalification rating based on subsequently learned information. Contractors whose rating changes sufficiently to disqualify them will be notified and given an opportunity for a hearing consistent with the hearing procedures described below for appealing a prequalification rating.
