Renovation of a transportation facility in Tacoma, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.

Provide all labor, including certified welders, as well as parts, materials, and equipment necessary to remove and modify the coupler pockets on four EMD MP15AC locomotives to retrofit new or requalified draft gears that will accommodate both self-aligning couplers and non-self-aligning couplers. Contractor will also be required to supply and install the new or re-qualified draft gears, supply and install 2 sets of new self-aligning couplers ensuring compatibility across all 4 locomotives, and provide and install 4 sets of new non-self-aligning couplers, also ensuring compatibility across all 4 locomotives. Submittals must follow the instructions regarding delivery, deadline, and format. For electronic submittals, include the specification number in the subject line, and send the submittal as an attachment. For in-person submittals, include the specification number on the outside of the sealed envelope. Late submittals will be returned unopened and rejected as non-responsive. Register for the Bid Holders List to receive updates, and follow the specified instructions for bid opening and obtaining solicitation documents.
