Description

Renovation of a mixed-use development in Tacoma, Washington. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Tacoma Public Schools is planning to release an RFQ in Late February 2026 for Progressive Design Build (PDB) Services for the proposed Safety and Security Upgrades Bundle Phase 3 project. The alternate public works design-build contracting procedure authorized in RCW 39.10.300 through 39.10.330 will be utilized for the project. Qualified firms with previous PDB project delivery experience are encouraged to submit. The actual project budget will be identified in the RFQ, when released. When the RFQ documents are complete, the project will be advertised and the RFQ will be available for download on the Tacoma School District District's utilization goals of ten percent (10%) certified minority-owned businesses, six percent (6%) certified women-owned businesses, and five percent (5%) certified small business enterprises and thirty percent (30%) local businesses on this project, based on the prime contractor's total contract dollar amount.
