Painting at Greendale Elementary. Bids are being accepted for the "2025-2026 Painting of Greendale Elementary School." Sealed bids are to be received at the Facilities Construction Department of the Aiken County Public Schools Operations Center. Performance and Labor/Materials (Payment) Bonds along with notarized Power of Attorney are required. Specifications can be obtained from the Facilities Construction Department or requested by email or phone. There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting at the school. All contractors must inspect the individual schools by contacting the designated person for an appointment after the pre-bid meeting. Sign-in sheets will be at the main office of the school. A Bid Bond or Certified Check for five percent (5%) of the base bid is required. A valid Certificate of Insurance must be submitted with the bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and formalities. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after opening. July 14, 2026 Substantial Completion Date This section includes surface preparation, painting and finishing of exposed interior/exterior items and surfaces. A. Surface preparation priming and finish coats specified in this section are in addition to shop priming and surface treatment specified under other sections. A. Paint exposed surfaces whether or not colors are designated in "schedules", except where a surface or material is specifically indicated not to be painted or is to remain natural. Where an item or surface is not specifically mentioned, paint the same as similar adjacent materials as surfaces. If color or finish is not designated, the Owner will select from standard colors or finishes available. B. All surfaces are to receive one (1) coat of bonding primer, and one (1) finish coat of Pre-Catalyzed Water based Semi-Gloss Epoxy Extra paint sufficiently to cover all paint surfaces unless otherwise listed. Sheetrock will receive one (1) primer coat and one (1) finish coat of eggshell latex paint (check with Facilities Construction at Aiken County)
