Participation Goals as modified by Agency pursuant to Article I, Part A, Section 11, Agency may assess liquidated damages in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the difference between the dollar amount of work required to be awarded to MBE and/or WBE firms to meet the Participation Goals The New York City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA) as Lead Agency, in coordination with New York City Department of Design and Construction (DDC), is proposing the DeGraw Firehouse Rehabilitation Project No. PV957DGRW (the "Proposed Project") located at 299 DeGraw Street in Brooklyn, New York. The scope of the Proposed Project includes full interior and exterior renovation of the existing vacant DeGraw Firehouse to create a permanent residence for the Noel Pointer Foundation (NPF), a non-profit music education organization. The Proposed Project will include renovations throughout the entire twostory building, including the cellar. The total net square footage for renovations is 3,450. The site was initially designated for a project for the Brooklyn Philharmonic Music Center in 2010 managed by the DDC. The Proposed Project scope consists of demolition throughout the building, new foundations where needed, framing, and facade openings, specifically for the new windows and doors including glazing to the street. This also includes new MEP services, including all new HVAC and fire protection systems, a new hydraulic elevator and new security/IT systems. The scope also includes finishing, painting, new millwork, and FF&E. The Proposed Project will include new exterior lighting as part of the refurbished historic facade. Additionally, a new sidewalk, rear yard hardscape, roof retention system, and removal of the existing sidewalk hatch will be implemented to facilitate stormwater management.
