The Town of New Windsor, Orange County, New York is seeking proposals for professional engineering services for preparation of an inflow and infiltration study of the town’s sanitary sewage collection system. The work requires a professional engineer to prepare and provide an engineering report that includes the development of a flow monitoring program to correlate all water consumption data from the town’s AMI meter system with comparable sewer shed areas. The analysis must identify areas of potential inflow and infiltration (I&I) for further evaluation. The engineer will prepare an engineering report for submission and approval to NYSDEC and NYSEFC in support of a DEC Engineering Planning Grant. Applicants must be professional engineers with at least five years of experience providing municipal engineering services and carry professional liability or errors and omissions insurance of not less than $2,000,000. Applicants must be equal opportunity employers and conform to the town's sexual harassment prevention policy. Sealed proposals containing one copy marked "Original" and five additional copies must be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the front and addressed as instructed. Proposals must not exceed 10 pages and should include: a transmittal letter, fee structure, firm qualifications and experience, resumes of key personnel, references from three municipalities, and a project list from the past five years. Proposals received after the deadline will not be accepted. Minority and women-owned businesses are encouraged to respond.
