Demolition and site work for a residential development in New Windsor, New York. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development.
Demolition and removal of an unsafe structure located at 136 John Street, New Windsor, NY 12553, Section 13, Block 4, Lot 3, with the entire project being considered and treated as Asbestos Containing Material. The project shall also include general site improvements including grading and restoration of the site, upon demolition and removal of the structure. Separate bids will be received for Contract GC-1 General Construction. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee equal to at least five percent of the bid amount, payable to the Town of New Windsor, as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract and file acceptable Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds and Certificate(s) of Insurance within fifteen days after award. Only those obtaining bidding documents from the issuing office may submit bids. Digital and hard copies of documents are available for a fee. Bidders must execute a non-collusive bidding affidavit pursuant to Section 103d of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York. Bidders must also comply with the Iran Divestment Act and provisions of Section 291-299 of the Executive Law of the State of New York. Withdrawal of bids is not permitted within forty-five days after the bid opening. Minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, gender, color, or national origin in consideration of an award. The Town of New Windsor reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality or technicality in any bid.
