Renovation of a detention facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

The work consists of all labor and materials to replace the BAS control system and components/devices, six VFDs, reinsulate all duct work, chilled water piping, heating hot water piping, steam and condensate piping, and domestic hot water piping in room B120. Reinsulate ductwork in rooms B104, B105A, and B106. Replace steam condensate return unit in room B120. Replace domestic water booster system and one water heater in B120. Replace existing light fixtures in B104, B105A, B106, and B120 with LED fixtures in same locations. Replace existing MCC with new panelboard in B120. Make all equipment connections to support mechanical and plumbing equipment. Demolish existing ACT (if remaining) and provide new ACT in rooms B102, B103, and B104, new paint and primer in room 1115 and B120, and demolish existing flooring and replace with VCT in room 1115. The scope includes test and balancing for HVAC and plumbing systems and any associated general work as indicated on the Contract Documents. Work can be completed during normal business hours and the building will be occupied during construction. Bids will be received for a single prime contract and all proposals shall be lump sum. Failure to attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting will disqualify the company from bidding. The bidder must submit required forms identifying minority business participation and affidavits as applicable. Bidders must have the proper state license classification as required. Each proposal must be accompanied by a cash deposit or a certified check of not less than five percent of the proposal, or a bid bond of five percent of the bid. A performance bond and payment bond will be required for one hundred percent of the contract price. Payment will be made based on ninety-five percent of monthly estimates and final payment made upon completion and acceptance of work. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after bid receipt. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. MBE (10%) Project Location: 1300 Western Blvd, Raleigh, NC 27606 Completion- 365) consecutive calendar days architectural scope provide replacement act ceilings, prime and paint walls in rooms b102, b104, & b104 that were damaged as a result of the steam leak. prime and paint walls in b120 that were damaged as a result of the steam leak. . replace flooring, base, prime and paint walls in room 1115 that were damaged as a result of the steam leak. plumbing scope re-insulate domestic water piping associated with modifications in room b120. provide new domestic water booster pump package, domestic hot water recirculation pumps, steam to hot water generator, mixing valves, trap primer, and water filtration system in room b120. electrical scope provide replacement lighting in rooms b120, b102, b103, b104, b105aand b107 that were damaged as a part of the steam leak. replace the damaged mcc with a new power panel in room b120. re-feed power connections to equipment and variable frequency drives indicated in mechanical schedules. mechanical scope provide new variable frequency drives as indicated in the mechanical schedules. . provide and install new steam condensate receiver pump package where indicated in mechanical schedules.
