The Board of Education of Calvert County is soliciting proposals from pre-qualified contractors to provide bids for the window and partial HVAC replacement project at Brooks Administration Building located at 1305 Dares Beach Road, Prince Frederick, Maryland. Bid documents, including specifications, drawings, and any addenda or clarifications, are posted online at Emaryland Marketplace. Contractors or suppliers providing materials, supplies, equipment, and/or services for this construction project shall attempt to achieve an overall Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) goal of two percent (2%). All prime contractors, including certified MBE firms, when submitting bids or proposals as general or prime contractors, are required to attempt to achieve this goal from certified MBE firms. There are no subgoals established for this project, but contractors are encouraged to use a diverse group of subcontractors and suppliers from any and all various MBE classifications to meet the participation goal. Bids will be received until 11:00 am on the due date and will be publicly opened and read aloud following the submission deadline. In the event of inclement weather, bids will be opened on the next business day at the same scheduled time. Completed qualification questionnaires are due no later than 4:00 pm on the indicated date and shall be submitted electronically or as a hard copy to the specified Planning and Construction Specialist at Calvert County Public Schools.
