As of July 21, 2026, a construction manager has been selected for the project. Per the owner, final plans are expected to given to the contractor in September of 2026 and GMP is expected to be determined within a month. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The project consists of a renovation of an existing former elementary school building located at 4431 Augusta Street in The Colony, Texas plus the addition of a new gymnasium building for the purposes of creating a new municipal community recreation center. The final scope of work will be determined based on the final Drawings and Specifications prepared by Architect. The work may consist of, but is not necessarily limited to, one or more of the following: site clearing; excavation; fill; select fill and backfill; site utilities; concrete sidewalks; curbs; gutters and paving; rough and finish grading; top soil and seeding; landscaping and irrigation; fencing; concrete piers; concrete slab-ongrade; load bearing masonry exterior and interior walls; structural steel beams; columns, roof purlins and joists; metal roof panels; metal stairways; guardrails and handrails; miscellaneous metal fabrications; rough and finish carpentry; millwork and casework; wood doors; metal doors and frames; aluminum doors and frames; overhead sectional doors; glass and glazing; damp proofing, waterproofing and new roofing; caulking and sealants; thermal insulation; flashing and sheet glazing; carpets; resilient flooring and base; metal studs and support systems; gypsum drywall and acoustical lay-in ceilings; painting; interior and exterior signage; metal louvers and miscellaneous specialties; fire protection; and mechanical; plumbing, HVAC, electrical (including site electrical) and telecommunications systems and other requirements set forth in the Contract Documents.
