The Project consists of the installation of two shade structures to be installed over a new concrete pad. One shade structure will be a 40' x 30' fabric shade, and the second will be a 16' x 24' metal shade structure. Minor path of travel upgrades to the existing concrete walk and re-striping of existing accessible parking areas are included. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to possess a valid State of California contractor's license (A - General Engineering Contractor or B - General Building Contractor) and be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations. Bids must be submitted on the forms provided, accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check for 10% of the total bid price. The successful Bidder will be required to provide 100% Performance and 100% Payment Bonds. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit is required. All work must comply with prevailing wage laws and labor compliance requirements. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive responsible bidder based on the base bid amount only.
