A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The work involves the installation of approximately 800 linear feet of (8 to 21)-inch drain pipe of various materials and depths, as well as 70 vertical feet of new catch basins and drain structures, and related work. It also includes construction of a detention pond and drainage swale and two rubber tide gates. The Alternate Bid involves installation of approximately 1,150 linear feet of (8 to 15)-inch drain pipe of various materials and depths and 138 vertical feet of new drain and catch basin structures. Bids are to be sealed and marked with the project name and submitted to the Office of the Town Administrator before the opening date and time. Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, treasurer's or cashier's check is required in the amount of five percent of the total bid. Successful bidders must furnish a 100 percent Construction Performance Bond and a 100 percent Construction Payment Bond. All bonds must be from an approved surety company. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of thirty days after the bid opening. Complete instructions for filing bids are provided in Section 00100 INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. The project is subject to prevailing wage rates and all work must comply with applicable Massachusetts General Laws. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, determine the lowest responsive bid, waive informality, and delete certain items from the bid.
