Reference Number 0000410930 The City of Taylor is seeking qualified firms to provide professional services for the design and installation of an ADA-compliant, all-inclusive playscape. The purpose of this RFQ is to evaluate experience, capabilities, previous projects, team members who would work with us, and overall vision. All companies that submit a package will be interviewed by our Recreation Commission, which is a nine-member commission of Taylor residents appointed by the Department and approved by City Council. With their guidance, we will conduct interviews during a public commission meeting, and they will provide input to the Department and Administration on which vendor they feel best meets our needs. The Director and Administration will also have input and a say in which vendor we take forward for Council approval. Following this process, we will seek Council approval along with a not-to-exceed budget to begin the overall build-out of this project. The estimated budget is $1,200,000, which will be allocated for the build-out once we select the vendor from this RFQ phase. Please note that no dollar value should be included in the submittals for this RFQ. This phase is strictly about gathering information on each vendor's previous projects that align with our scope, company background, warranties, product innovation, and related details.
