Reference Number 0000409782 Pavement marking on four hundred forty (440) miles of various county roads in Livingston County, Michigan. Question Acceptance Deadline 02/10/2026 12:00 AM EST Questions are submitted online No *The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in bids and to accept the bid which is in the best interest of the Livingston County Road Commission. The proposal must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing the name of the bidder and a notation indicating the project on which bid is submitted. A certified or cashier's check on an open solvent bank in the amount of $2000.00 and payable to the Livingston County Road Commission must accompany each bid. The proposal shall be submitted in its entirety with no pages removed. No work shall begin before May 1, 2026 ; All project work is to be completed on or before October 10, 2026. pproximately 95 percent (420 of 440 miles) of the quantities included on the 2026 Pavement Marking - Itemized Bid Sheet involve retracing existing pavement markings. The Road Commission is scheduled to overlay or chip seal approximately 20 miles of county roads prior to the completion date of this project. Pavement markings on these resurfaced roadways are estimated to account for the remaining 5 percent of the quantities. While not anticipated at this time, additional quantities above those indicated on the 2026 Pavement Marking - Itemized Bid Sheet may also be required for overlay, chip seal or new construction. In these instances, the Contractor will be given revised quantities and maps and instructed to hold the pavement marking work associated with resurfacing for a period to be determined later in the contract. Layout for Marking The LCRC will be responsible for layout on retrace roadways where the limits are to be changed, and on new construction. On overlay roads, the limits of the passing and no-passing zones will be designated by R4-1, R4-2 and W14-3 signs per the Michigan Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. The Engineer will mark the beginning and ending points of these zones on the center of the new pavement.
