La Crosse Center Chiller Replacement Project includes the replacement of the existing chiller. Bid Alternate 01 involves demolition of the undersized chilled water side stream filtration system and replacement with an appropriately sized unit. Bid Alternate 02 covers demolition and replacement in kind for the replaced Chillers pump (P-6), as well as the building chilled water circulation pump (P-9). The work must be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications on file with the Engineering Department. The time for commencement of the work shall be no sooner than ten (10) days after Common Council shall have awarded the contract and shall be completed by April 15 th , 2026. Bids must include a Certificate of Organization and Authority, Disclosure of Ownership, and a list of Subcontractors. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond for not less than 5% and not more than 10% of the total amount bid. Bidder's Proof of Responsibility paperwork is required and must show sufficient financial ability, equipment, and experience to properly perform the contract. Only qualified bidders, as determined by the Board of Public Works, may be accepted. Bids will be received electronically through the designated online service. All relevant documentation, including Notice to Contractors, Information to Bidders, Bid Proposal, bonds, general conditions, specifications, plans, and applicable ordinances are considered part of the contract.
