The City of Oroville Housing Development Department is seeking a qualified contractor to participate in the renovation/remodel of a single-family home located at 2470 Baldwin Avenue in Oroville, CA. The project is the renovation of an existing owner-occupied residence. All work must address the items in the formal bid write-up document and include: Base Bid: Address all noted work in the attached pest report: contractors are to field verify the requested work and use the included report as a guide for cost estimation for this mandatory line item. Required work: 1. Fungus damage at roof members 2. Fungus damage at eaves (multiple locations) 3. Fungus damage at interior window sill 4. Plumbing leaks at tub faucet and drain Add Alternates: 1. All costs associated with bathroom upgrade: insert or tile/ADA upgrades/Glass enclosure 2. All costs associated with replacement of roof 3. All costs associated with gutter and downspout installation 4. All costs associated with two exterior ADA ramps and rails 5. All costs associated with adjustment of threshold at exterior side location 6. Any work identified on the job walk - to be verified with an addendum Other work may be identified in the mandatory job walk. The contract will be between homeowner and chosen contractor. Rehabilitation projects are not eligible for prevailing wage. Qualifications: Current and active CA Contractor's license in good standing and $1,000,000 general liability insurance naming the City of Oroville and homeowner as additionally insured, to be provided only if contractor's bid is selected. The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive non-material defects in bids. Instructions: Work write-up and bid document must be submitted no later than the specified deadline. Documents are to be placed in an unsealed envelope and labeled accordingly, or emailed to the provided contact. Do not contact the homeowner. All measurements and verification of work will be completed at the mandatory job walk. No exceptions or special appointments will be made.
