Site work for a military facility in Homer, Alaska. Completed plans call for site work for a military facility.
The scope of work includes the procurement and installation of a replacement transformer enclosure for the 750KVA shore power transformer serving the US Coast Guard Cutter Aspen. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to remove the existing enclosure and install the new enclosure in accordance with the attached Statement of Work (SOW). Work must comply with all applicable construction standards, including Construction Wage Rate Requirements, and certified payrolls will be required. The contractor must demonstrate knowledge and experience with transformer installations of similar size and type and hold a valid Alaska General Contractor or Electrical Contractor License. Performance shall be completed within the designated performance period specified in the SOW, and all work must meet safety and quality standards outlined by the government. Location: USCG Cutter Aspen Shore Power Site, 4688 Homer Spit Road, Homer, AK 99603. All contractual and technical questions must be in writing. Questions must be received by January 22, 2026, 1:00 p.m. Alaska time, to Robbin Kessler at robbin.m.kessler@uscg.mil Telephone questions will not be accepted. The work shall be completed within one of the following date windows in winter/ spring 2026: a. 9 FEB - 28 FEB b. 21 MAR - 19 APR c. 27 APR - 10 MAY The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to complete the following tasks: a. Procure and deliver a new, painted stainless steel transformer enclosure designed for outdoor use and compatible with the existing 750 KVA transformer. b. Remove and properly dispose of the existing transformer enclosure in accordance with all applicable regulations. c. Clean the interior of the transformer, removing any accumulated debris (e.g., dirt, dust). d. Replace any corroded lugs at the primary and secondary connection points of the transformer. e. Install the new transformer enclosure, ensuring secure attachment to the existing base. f. Install new, legible labels and placards on the enclosure, as required.
