The work involves the supply and delivery of gas valves to the DDSB Maintenance Centre at 710 Bayly St E, Ajax, ON. The price must include all costs such as labour, material, overhead, and profit required to complete the Work as specified. The DDSB reserves the right to alter the Work by deducting or adding to the contract based on unit pricing. All work must comply with the specifications in the tender documents. Bidders are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the site and existing conditions that may affect completion. Bid Submissions must be signed by an authorized person and include required Bid Deposits and Bid Surety when applicable. Electronic submissions are required, and late submissions will not be accepted. It is the bidder's responsibility to ensure timely delivery through the Bidding System. Performance and Labour and Material Payment Bonds are required, each in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the Bid Price, or equivalent irrevocable letters of credit. Proof of insurance, specifically general liability insurance naming DDSB as additional insured, is required. A Certificate of Clearance from the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) must be provided prior to commencement of work and renewed at least every ninety days throughout the contract period. Bidders are required to attend a mandatory site meeting and sign the Site Meeting Log. All electrical/electronic components must be CSA / ULC and/or Ontario Hydro/Ontario Electrical Safety Authority approved and appropriately labeled. The vendor/contractor is responsible for site and material security, protecting work from weather, and removing all surplus materials and debris upon completion. All goods and services must be accessible and inclusive, meeting Ontario accessibility standards.
